Landfill Elixir

our idyll glimmers
shimmering pearl
cupped in shell
of our garbage
disposed products litter
our collective psyche
gallstone of spirit
the sum of our ideas
metaphysics and ontology
airbrush buzzwords
we are glass beads
reflecting one another
we are glass beads
suspended in media
viscous murky intermediary
distilled from tonics
leaching from landfill
intoxicating elixir
we are required to imbibe
to be good enough
for one another
