Connection: a Poem

we are interwoven
straining inside cat’s cradle crying
let me be not
tied down
we are broken pieces a
mosaic chaotically descried
denying interpenetration of light
stating ‘frame me’ with
picture frame finger gesture
we are data serialized
tables for tabulation
branded to satisfy expectation
we become adjectives
which one are you?
we are nibbled midnight snacks
design ourselves to gratify
a craving for meaning that can be consumed
we are our collective indigestion
pointing finger discontentment
dashing down palliative corrections
disintegration in our
consumption of connection
